Scholarship for students enrolled in full-time studies at the post-secondary level

Slovenski Dom's Scholarship Award awards program is intended for young people of Slovenian descent who have been involved in the Slovenian community while pursuing academic studies.  We are offering ONE scholarship to a student enrolled in full-time studies at the post-secondary level. The successful candidate must meet the following three criteria: 
 

    a) has made significant contributions to the community in which s/he lives and/or studies;
    b) shows determination to maintain a high academic standard;
    c) demonstrates personal integrity.

The recipient of this scholarship must be of Slovenian descent, either from one parent or both. It is preferable that candidates have engaged in some community involvement in the Slovenian community and/or Slovenski Dom activities but this is not an absolute necessity.
Value: $800 payable directly to the recipient.
Due Date: postmarked by September 30, 2010.
